World Builders produced by Flux Theater Ensemble is a multi-layered drama with best bits of philosophy, sci-fi, and psycho drama, with a love story threading it together.
Max & Whitney are 2 schizophrenics, who commit themselves to a drug study to 'cure' them of their 'disorder'. As the layers of the worlds they have built come across to the audience, you question if this is really a disorder or an immensely creative mind power. Elements of playing God and parallel universes, questions about the role of a sympathetic bystander and how far would you go for love are the big questions this work raises. Amazing performances by both the actors build up a drama all the way to the end. The writing is gripping and the direction arrests you in your seat. A great watch!
